8 Nightlife Spots To Experience Before You Leave Lima

Lima is a big city with tons of nightlife spots to keep you entertained. Most of the nightlife is either going to be in Miraflores or Barranco with the bars closing around 4 am. From upscale cocktail bars, glitzy nightclubs, and places where you can simply let loose and dance – here are the best spots to party in Lima Peru.

Ayahuasca

A huge historic mansion from the late 1800’s has been restored into a gorgeous cocktail bar known as Ayahuasca. There are so many ambiances to explore so I recommend ordering a flight of their Pisco cocktail sampler and finishing each drink in a different spot. FYI this isn’t a place for dancing, but it makes a great spot to start the night.

Lyra

Lyra is one of the most trendy nightclubs in Lima right now. Depending on the night, you’ll have international electronic music DJs headlining or a hot night of dancing reggaeton. People will be dressed up here and it’s also one of the gay-friendly nightclubs in Lima.

DaDa

Just down the street from Ayahuasca, you’ll stumble upon DaDa, another beautifully converted mansion in Barranco. DaDa is known for their specialty gin cocktails and a young & trendy crowd.

Lima Bar

If you’re looking to party with Lima’s elite crowd, Lima Bar is the most upscale nightclub you can visit. It’s located in the beautiful Larcomar mall and has a terrace overlooking the ocean, a large dance floor, and VIP tables for bottle service. Be sure to dress nicely if you’ll be heading here or you might not be able to get in.

El Matadero & Wild Baby

El Matadero (@el_matadero) and Wild Baby (@wild___baby) organize parties for the queer community in Lima. They host events in several locations a month around Lima so it’s recommended to visit their Instagram pages to see when the next event is taking place.

Open Tapas

Open Tapas is an upscale bar in Miraflores that attracts a more mature crowd so be sure to dress up nicely. It’s a great place to start the night if you get there early or party as it fills up later on. The best part is the large open-air terrace on the second floor.

La Noche de Barranco

If you’re looking to experience live music in Lima, La Noche de Barranco is the most legendary place to go. Every Monday, you can rely on there being jazz music and live performances every day of the week, except for Sundays. Victoria Bar

Victoria Bar is also set in a historic Barranco mansion and you can usually find live music going on most nights of the week. It’s a great spot to sit back with friends before heading out to dance later on.
